Mary Guadalupe
Why celebrate day of guadalupe?
I'm sorry but I have to ask because I am so confused. Why celebrate day of guadalupe? My Husband is catholic but even he can't help me to understand. I grew up believing in celebrating on the birth of Jesus and that it was wrong to hold anyone or anything as high as Him. So, if someone could help me to understand this, I would appreciate it. Along with, why is the virgin mary so special. Yes, i understand that she was the chosen one to birth Jesus, but what if it would have been someone named JoAnn? Would catholics be celebrating the day of JoAnn? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
We do not hold her as high as Jesus, and we are paying respect to her for giving birth to Jesus. Also Mexicans are paying homage to her because she was to have appeared in Guadalupe, and if her name had been Jo Ann, then yes we would pay homage to Jo Ann.But the day of homage is call "Our Lady of Guadalupe."

Virgin Mary
Has anyone been to lourdes to see the place where Virgin Mary appeared?
For anyone that has been there, could you please tell me what it is like. The Virgin Mary appeared to saint bernadette there and there is a spring which produces holy water. Would you describe it as a magical place or a holy place or both?
For anyone who has been: did you feel a spiritual connection, did your religious faith become stronger and renewed.
I HAVE TO SEE MY FRIEND WHO LIVED IN LOURDES AT ONE TIME IN FRIEND AMD WEMT TO LOURDES FOR HISTORICAL PURPOSES ..
HOWEVER , I CERTAINLY DID NOT SEE MARY.. WHO ACCORDING TO RC APPEARS.. AND HEALS .. (BUT NOT ALL)
DID SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WERE ILL AND NOT HEALED
AFTER VISITS ..
I WISH I DID..BUT I DIDN'T
I DESCRIBE LOURDES AS AN NON EVENT .. NO PERFORMANCE OF HEALING.
IT LOOKS SHABBY BUT ONE MUST NOT JUDGE BY
OUTWARD APPEARANCE..
HOWEVER.. NO MIRACLES . WHEN I VISITED.. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO BE PROVED WRONG

Religious Virgin
How is virgin mary a virgin if she has had a baby? im knew to the whole religious thing and i want to know?
Im trying to become more religious but i need to know a few things. What is the whole story behind mary being a virgin?

All things are possible with God and he works in mysterious ways. While a virgin birth seems impossible, this is not so with God. If you want to embrace a religion you have to have faith that amazing things like this can happen.
Christians are taught that when Mary was a young girl, around 14/15, an angel, Gabriel, came to her proclaiming the good news that she had found favor with God and she was chosen to carry and give birth to Jesus. Mary says in response 'How can this be for I have had no relations with a man?' The angel states that the holy spirit will decend upon her and she will conceive. Mary accepted (note that she did not have to...she willing chose).
Mary was betroathed to a man, Joseph. Joseph found out and wanted to divorse her quietly. He then had a dream in which he was informed that he was to take Mary as his wife. He did so.
And then there is the nativity in Bethlehem.
NOTE: The Immaculate Conception was not Mary conceiving Jesus! That is a common misunderstanding. The Immaculate Conception is Mary being conceived without sin...just had to clear that up. If you don't believe me, just look it up.

Picture Virgin
how do you zoom while taking a picture on a virgin mobile wild card?
i no u can zoom after you take the picture but can you while ur taking the picture?? i can how?? is it under settings??? HELP!!!
I also have the WildCard! Glad to hear that theres someone else out there other then me with this phone (: To zoom in durning the picture, you press the $ key, in other words, the up key. Its right above the OK button on both keyboards. You can only zoom in to x5 but its still pretty good. Are You happy with this phone? I am starting to think that it is just a piece of junk, when I got it last summer it seemed like the best thing ever, until now. It seems to be falling apart on me. :/ Well I hope I could help you out (:

What are most popular incarnations of the virgin mary in Latin america? ?
For example, la virgin de guadalupe is popular in Mexico. What are others?
The virgin Mary is a myth, therefore there can be no incarnations.
If you don't believe me ask any atheist.
