Scroll Israel
Are there still Jewish sects today who, like the Essenes, won't go to the bathroom on Shabbat?
While visiting the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, I saw the Dead Sea Scrolls, written by the ancient Essenes. I was surprised to learn that the Essenes wouldn't go to the bathroom on Shabbat. Is this still practiced by any Jews today? It doesn't seem practical for me. And is it even possible to hold it for 24 hours? I would imagine there are a lot of accidents!
S/he's at it again! This user's obsession with urination and Jews is beyond belief, as you'll discover if you look at her/his questions. Don't bother with the question, which is about something s/he's made up to fulfil her sick fantasies. S/he needs psychiatric help, not an answer to a non-question.
EDIT: Oh, and this is ANOTHER new account! S/he does seem to get through them rather quickly. S/he started another account on 17 March - see http://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt=As8PIboHaKclTgv1kvjV1BPty6IX;_ylv=3?show=ZZEt7pHNaa

Esther Scroll
What size swimsuit should I get?
My measurements are:
Bust- 38
Waist- 32
Hips- 36
here are the sizes:

( you have to scroll down a bit)
I would say size twelve. Your body ranges in sizes but at least your bust will fit correctly. Maybe try a custom bathing-suit if you have the money?

Mezuzah Scroll
Mezuzah or Mezuzah Case?
Does anybody know where I can get a free mezuzah scroll or mezuzha case completely free?
answer: There are mezuzah cases online for less than $2.00. The scroll will cost between $20-$40, depending on the size. Kosher ones will cost you.
If you are going to university, there are some Hillel groups that provide a free mezuzah and scroll to students away from the home for the first time.

Scroll Parchment
I really need help with this art history test-question!!?
The term Codex refers to:
A. a form of scroll made of papyrus or other plant material
B. a book with pictures of war victories
C. an early book form with pages of parchment or vellum
D. a secret form of writing that was decoded by a soldier in the Napoleonic army.
It's either A or C, I am sort of going with A.. your thoughts?
F you all. I did my research, and I'm stuck.
On wiki, it said that a codex is a form of book, but could also be a scroll. I was just confused.
Thank you all for your help!! I got a 36/40 on the test!!
C.
the codex was an improvement on the scroll, codex is also latin for book.
