How do I take care of an old sandalwood rosary?
I have a wooden rosary that's about 15 years old and it's made from sandalwood beads which used to smell so wonderful. Over the years the fragrance has gone down. When I purchased it (about 20 years ago, I'd been told how to care for it and how to the scent can be revived over the years but I've forgotten. Can anyone help me. I'm worried that soaking it in water might crack the intricately carved beads.
There is a product called Murphy's oil soap that is very good for wood. I use it. You may be able to get it where you are.
No soaking, trust me, the wood will warp and crack.
I have no interest in the company. LOL. I sound like a salesman.
