where in Asia is a statue of buddha making love while sitting to (whom I believe could be) tara ?
It is a gold coated statue with buddha and tara sitting face to face. They have blue hair (curly in buddha and straight down to her middle back in tara). Also, tara is wearing a clothe shawl in her back and a bright yellow skirt (?) covering her behind. I have been several times to asia and never seen anything like it. This pic that I have I found it on the internet but it did not have any clues or links to where it is from. Thank you.
Buddhist art occurred in the Sailendra dynasty of Java, Indonesia. It is during this time that a Buddha statue making love to Tara was constructed. This is in Central Java, Indonesia.
