Madonna Our
What are the alternatives to our material world?
--
Question context:
--
In 1984 (somewhat appropriate isn't it?) , Madonna released a hit single called 'Material Girl' with a chorus line that went:
"Living in a material world
And I am a material girl
You know that we are living in a material world
And I am a material girl"
-
Since then market economies and consumer culture has become a global phenomenon; with China and India set to carry the flame forwards in years to come. Most of the things in our lives are expendable and consumable, even faith is sometimes traded for small luxuries. Perhaps the bonds with the people we love are the only things left untouched.
-
So is there an alternative to the material world? What will the future hold? Do you enjoy the consumer lifestyle?

Just to clarify for the infidels. I'm not claiming that materialsim began with Madonna, I'm simply giving a temporal reference point to contextualise the debate in the modern era.
I understand that our consumer lifestyle is responsible for our own discontentment as we feel that we have nothing to look forward to; We have everything we have been everywhere and cannot see what the future holds, but modernity is craved for amongst most of Western civilisation. And it would be very hard to deny ourselves what consumerism dictates what we buy. Like sheep all looking for an identical piece of grass.
Do I enjoy a consumer lifestyle well I have to be honest and say yes. Though I do not like the throw away culture that has developed along side this lifestyle; it angers me to see perfectly good household items confined to the skip.
I will also admit that once I have that 'Must Have Item' in my grasp it very quickly becomes unimportant. So what does that tell you? Perhaps we should all get more physical and spiritual. Then we may get some sort equilibrium in our lives whereby we can be more content with want we have and not what we want.

Heart Our
Why is it that we feel emotional pains in our heart?
Why not in our brains? Whats in or at the heart that makes us more conscious of emotional pain. Im sure you are no different to me and have felt it before.
Why does it effect the heart and not the brain, where all the chemicals that help us feel are located, when we feel sad or happy?
It's not technically our heart, which is just an organ for pumping blood. But the actual FEELING does occur in that region. Why? Because that collection of nerve ganglia we call the "Solar Plexus" is actually the seat of our emotional centers. Just like the collection of nerve ganglia at the small of our back is the seat of our moving/instinctive centers. And the brain is the seat of our intellectual centers.
Our solar plexus is right near our heart, and so we say things like heartbreak and heart-throb. Its certainly more poetic than saying solar plexus throb.

Catholic Italian
If pizza is catholic and spagetti is atheist, what italian food is muslim?
Actually, both pizza and spaghetti are originally Chinese. Marco Polo brought the recipes and technique for noodles back with him from China. The Italians adapted meats, tomato sauces and cheeses to them.
That said, the answer to your question: wait for it....... falafal-ah.

Very Large
How can I setup a very large amount of email accounts under one domain?
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a website or service that will let you setup a very large amount of email addresses under one domain name like yahoo mail or gmail. Thanks a bunch!
All you need to do is register your domain with a service that allows limitless mail accounts.
I did a quick check and GoDaddy allow 100 mailboxes for about $22 a month, I checked 1and1.com too and they don't seem to be set up for unlimited mail, so my solution is this:
Use an unlimited webhosting service that will take on your mail too, I use webhostingpad... they allow unlimited email accounts which you can set up through Cpanel...
Now, I am not clear on whether each individual account can have web access, but I do know that you can access the mail as individual accounts in Outlook (or Thunderbird if you need a free mail client) as I have done this myself.
Check below for more on webhosting pad - I think they will give you unlimited hosting INCLUDING mail for just $3.99 a month - which has to be worth considering...

Bowl Israel

Is it correct to add titles to the chapters of the Book of Revelation?
In the Revelation's Epilogue, it is written as it follows:
Revelation 22:18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
I have noticed that some translations do add titles to the chapters of the Book of Revelation. For example, the following titles retrived from the New King James Version:
7:1 The sealed of Israel
7:9 A Multitude from the Great Tribulation
15:1 Prelude to the Bowl Judgments
17:1 The Scarlet Woman and the Scarlet Beast
Title of a chapter and "Words of Prophecy" is not the same thing my friend.
