Jerusalem Beautiful
Where should I buy a tallit in Jerusalem?
I am so picky. I have been wanting a tallit for years now and have been to Israel twice. I am going back to live there for a couple months, and would love some recommendations as to where I can find beautiful, authentic tallitot.
Thanks
U made me do it - According to Jewish law women are not required to wear a tallit, but can if they choose. I often read Torah in my synagogue. It is appropriate and generally expected of me to wear a tallit on such occasions. So as you say "I must."
Try your nearest Chabad store, and if you want something more ornate ask them for an even more upmarket shop, and they will certainly be able to direct you. In short, start with the Chabad.

Vintage Photo
Vintage Photo Editing?
I would like to know if you can do vintage photo editing on Splashup or Fotoflexer? If so, how do you do it? If not, are there are sites or downloads which allow you to do vintage photo editing?
-Thanks! D
I don't know about those specific websites, however, the way to do it would be to change the color balance, saturation, brightness and contrast.
For websites, any program that has pre-specified vintage filters or an ability to alter those properties -- color balance, saturation, etc. -- should work.
For a program (non-website) Photoshop is the industry standard for photo editing, however it can cost a pretty penny -- especially if you won't use it for very much.
As an alternative, I would recommend GIMP. It is free and available from gimp.org and comparable to Photoshop in a lot of ways.
You can make the changes specified by opening your image, selecting Color > Color Balance, Color > Hue / Saturation, and Color > Brightness / Contrast.
There is also a Photoshop-like version of GIMP created by Scott Moschella that can be found, also free, for download online.

Mary Italy
Did Mary Shelley and Lord Byron had an affair?
I was just wondering if you have ever come across any allusions that Mary Shelley (Percy's wife) and Lord Byron had an affair during their time in Italy?
I believe the question is whether or not she was the only one who didn't. Her husband was rumor to have had an affair with Lord Byron and was her sister,

Tibet White
Tibet, why is the media lying?
I live and work in China, I've seen first hand what the truth is, yes it's not pretty but false reporting makes me sick, it's a pitty that so many people can be sucked in by the USA anti-commi crap! oh and before you answer this question please check this site out, http://anti-cnn.com do some INDIPENDANT reserch find out the truth. Every media outlet in EVERY country is the mouth of the government, the scary fact I find is at least in China 99% of the people are aware of this, in the "free" world you believe whatever you see in the media as independent. Australia is a smart county, wake up to the American puppet strings controling YOUR media. Oh I am a white Australian born Aussi just for the record. That website again is http://anti-cnn.com
No, Chinese aren't the only people who know journalism is selective. We in America we do not believe whatever we see. In fact, many of us have stopped relying on televised news. Truth is manipulated by whoever owns the broadcast, worldwide. Responsible journalists with integrity have to be sought and relied upon.
