Holy Trinity
Does anyone know how to get to the holy trinity church in New York?
This church has an abortion clinic next to it, and I hear it's very good, but I don't know the name. All I know is that it's next to the holy trinity church. For some reason i can't find directions online. The last 3 abortions that I've had were in Miami, so this is the only abortion clinic nearby that I know is good. Does anyone know where this church is?
One abortion and you can join their 'frequent aborter's club.'

Jesus Carved
In the name of Jesus?
I see "Jesus Saves!" spray painted on rocks beside the highway.
I see "Jesus is Lord" painted on the overpass by my house.
I see "Jesus loves you" carved into the wall in the Walmart restroom.
Please oh please tell me where, in your bibles, does it tell you that de-facing private and public property is ok if it is done in the name of Jesus.
That is a crime folks. It's called vandalism.

When you say "your" bibles; you are, of course, addressing only those who spray paint this message and not trying to pin this on every Christian correct?

Sculpture Jesus
Why are there sculptures of Jesus in some churches?
And people tend to worship those sculptures, isn't this like worshiping idols, why do people need an image of something to be satisfied, I think religion has taken it too far.
You know, when I was a kid, like in the 6th grade, I rode on the schoolbus with a girl who was Pentacostal. She asked me my religion and I told her I was raised Jewish. She said "Oh, I know about Jews. They worship statues." I tried to set her straight on that, but apparently she'd heard it from a minister, so why would she believe some lying Jew on a schoolbus? 8^)
Years later I realized the mistake she'd made. After college I had a fundamentalist girlfriend and went to her Bible study a few times (which was, sadly, all I could take). I heard the same remark, but this time it was the Catholics.
And then I understood it. Catholics have saints. Protestants think saints are like wicked demons, like false gods. It's idolatry to believe in saints, (some) Protestants believe, and making statues of them is just a throwback to the age of idols. My schoolbus friend just got her 'other religions' mixed up. Apparently all Christian children are taught 'comparative religion' in Sunday school, where they hear great nuggets of truth like this one.
The real truth, I don't think it has anything to do with what you believe. People who -believe- often like to visualize their beliefs. Usually they think their gods look like them--for instance Europeans paint Jesus as a European, while Africans see him as being black. The adoration of saints is very understandable to me. Even though I'm not a Catholic and I don't believe in their saints, I understand the purpose of them.
And for all these people who are 'idolators' with 'graven images', there are also people who believe God is an unseeable spiritual force who lives in a corner of the bedroom ceiling. (CS Lewis said this. I thought it was good.)

Jesus Lamb
What are some excuses that people will give God for rejecting Jesus, The Lamb of God who takes away our sins?
Those that say, Lord Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name and do this & that in your name?!!!
But Jesus tells them that he didn't know them [spiritually], so they didn't really know Jesus either. They never believed in Jesus death & resurrection, so were never born of the Spirit.
Jesus tells them to depart because He never knew them [intimately]... That they practiced [made a pleasant habit of] iniquity [sinful bondage].
Some people have a different Jesus than Jesus Christ the Nazarene of the Biblical Gospels. That deny Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, the Lamb of God who takes away our sins, the Resurrection & the Eternal Life. They deny one or all of these foundational Truths of Christ Gospel.
