Wicca and Buddist form of meditation?
Hi, I am wiccan and have been meditating just using deep breathing techniques. Now I want to go deeper into meditation and I did a lot of research on it.
I am really drawn to the buddist form of mediation by using mala beads and chanting mantras whilst meditating. I am worried that by saying and chanting this mantras (which is written in Tibet) aand using the beads, it may be that I am turning away from my God and Goddess.
I just want to know if it alright to use the Buddist method of meditation to reach a sense of enlightment or connection with my deity.
IMO Its just another method of connecting, of getting to that place in you where you are clear and open.
Give it a try, you are not betraying anyone or anything by doing so. I understand where you are coming from and why you are worrying but dont. True wicca doesnt set hard and fast rules and you should find ways which work for you, this involves experimenting with different techniques. You know your connection and it is your intention that is important.
