Necklace Pendant
How can I turn an object into a necklace/pendant?
How can I add a little loop onto it?
I don't understand what my options are. All I can think of is to glue a jump ring onto the object to give it a hole.
To clarify, how can I add a hole/loop to something which does not have a hole?
For example.. a coin. How could I turn a coin into a pendant?
Your basic bets are to make a hole of some kind or a loop of some kind...both can be done in numerous ways, but the hardness (e.g., metal vs plastic or wood, etc) and shape of your object, as well as the equipment you have access to, could limit the choices.
If you make a hole, e.g., you could make it front to back near the top, or from top to bottom or side to side if the item is thick enough. Then pass cording of some kind through it in some way, or add a jump ring or head pin or other things through it.
If you add something, you can purchase bails that can be glued on or clamped down, or you can add "tube" shaped things on the sides, or you can insert a shortened eye pin or screw in an eye screw, or you can wrap the item decoratively with wire leaving a space that can function as a loop, or just basically anything you can think up (which is part of the fun).
Of course, the type of glue you use will depend on the materials you're wanting to bond and the strength you'll need (and perhaps whether they're clear or not, etc).
You might want to check out these pages at my site for lots of possibilities though my site is primarily about polymer clay which can be drilled fairly easily after baking, or holes can easily be made before the clay is hardened:

And you might also want to check out this page for making your own wire loops and other findings:

Easter Basket
What to put in a Newborns Easter basket?
I want to make an Easter basket for my birth son who is a little over a month old, but I do not know what to put in it. Can anybody help me with ideas? Thank you. (:
We skipped the basket with our first child (he was only a few months old) and bought him a religious picture to hang in his room instead. Our second child was born in the summer and so was old enough to enjoy a basket his first easter.

Card Patron
What blessed objects are kept on Vietnamese Catholic home altars and how do they function?
I am looking for some information on Vietnamese Catholic home altars including Holy Family altars, Marian altars, patron saint altars,
and ancestor altars. Pictures would be awesome! What is the significance of the altars and the statues, holy cards, etc.? Are certain devotional practices held in the home with the altars as a focal point? Where are the altars located in the home and what happens to blessed objects when they are broken, old or worn-- are they thrown away?
At my house we have a crucifix [pretty decent sized] and a statue of Mary hanging from the wall in our living room.. She sits on this thing my grandpa got us from Vietnam. There are little branches that come out of the base, and we have rosarys hang from there. The base makes the rosaries have an easier access when we go and get them to use.

Holder Cover
Do you know any car rental company in UK where a provisional driver can drive with a proper license holder?
I want to practise driving in UK in a rented car and I have a friend with a clean UK driving license for more than 5 years who is happy to help me to rent a car. But, when I asked the car rental companies, they told me that as a provisional license holder, I am not covered by their insurance and hence cant drive their car.
There aren't any.
