God Religious
Are you scared of death and what might happen after you have died? Especially for religious people, GOD?
As the questions says. Also, if you happen to be religious however much are you scared of what god might do to you i.e. in Judgement Day?
No. I almost died a few times. I wasn't ready, but I wasn't afraid either and it wouldn't be natural to not be somewhat afraid of your own judgment, but I won't run from it...that would be impossible. I won't try to hide it, because it is already known. I can only accept the things that I cannot change. And I know, that I am the one responsible for any and all of my actions throughout my life. Punishment betters the lives of those left behind to start over. Why would he leave something bad behind to start the wickedness over again. He wouldn't. So if I get to stay, I stay...if not, no doubt the world will be better off, because he knows who would destroy it (again) and who would not.

Jesus Sacred
How can I get both the Sacred Heart of Mary & the Scared Heart of Jesus in a chest tattoo without it looking ?
too crowded? I want to have dove wings on either side of the tattoo, enclosing it.
i think having them as a whole chest piece would look good as in having under each collar bone and then another religious symbol in the middle connecting the two. best bet is going to the tattoo shop and having them draw it up with you there

Lord Jesus
Question about a statement The Lord Jesus said?
We say to the people: have faith in Jesus that you receive forgiveness of sins. The Lord Jesus Himself says "That they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified BY FAITH THAT IS IN ME" Acts 26:18 Did any body else say to the people: Have faith in me that you may receive forgiveness of sins?
there were people and church that did say say that yes. Jesus know then would be may and want us to know only he (Jesus the son of God) could forgive sin.
there in only forgiveness in the cross, Jesus is alive, and no no one is like him!

Sermons Baptist Preaching
What do you think about Obama's church?
I think Obama's church should join services with Westboro Baptist Church (if you don't know about this church, just do a search on Yahoo). I mean, they pretty much preach the same thing give or take a few issues. "God hates America... blah blah blah". Seriously, go to tucc.org to see what Obama's church is all about.
I wonder, me being white, if I would be welcomed there? I looked at the online church bulletin, and they have a class for new members called, "Black and Christian New Members Class". What if you are Hispanic and Christian? White and Christian? Native American and Christian?
This church is too involved with their race and not enough involved with Jesus.
I have personally attended several different "black" churches here in my hometown. Each and every one of them welcomed me as if I had been a member all along. Not one sermon was preached about race or color. Why does Trinity United Church of Christ have to be this way?
Some pretty radical quotes coming out of there. The media and those of the left are not going to give it much air play.
This pastor has absolutely NO concept of history.
Those that fought and died in WWII--Christians, Jews, atheists, and Muslims; white, Asian, and black--did so for the freedom for him to speak this drivel. The U.S. did not start that war, but by God, we put it to an end. Saying that 9/11 had any relavance to that is just pure provocation--nothing more.
Digg - Correct. As Paul noted in Galatians 3:28,
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
Perhaps that pastor didn't read that far yet.

Way Religious
Whats a non religious way to overcome addiction?
I Dont have an addiction. I was doing research on alcaholism, pornography, and drugs. On every single program, especially the 12 step program has religious bias which may turn non-religious or other religions away from seeking help. So i was wondering is there a program other than doing it yourself, psychology/psychiatry, cold turkey, or hypnosis? This is just a research on programs.
I am a recovering heroin addict. I have been in the program for 14 months. I was introduced to the twelve steps a few times before I actually decided to really throw myself into it. The reason why I didn't get into a twelve step program any sooner was due to the steps containing the word God in them. I was raised in a strict christian household. Religion was literally beat into me. So, naturally, I have a lot of distaste for organized religon. Christianity in perticular. Once I got a sponser and started to get into the process of the steps, I realized that it isn't religious based. It is spiritual. I can choose any concept of God. It doesn't have to be Christ, Buddah, Alah or any religious based God. The steps say "The God of my understanding". Well the God of my understanding has no name. He is a spiritual energy that is very powerful. He is a God of love, compassion, and is not a "get you God" He will not cast down lightning on me nor cause me harm. My God is a God of love and truth. A.A. and N.A. Is a spiritual program. It is also a group therapy. A place where I can go and get some advice from those who have been where I am at. It is a form of psychotherapy. The only difference is my room ful of therapists (other a.a. memebers) are speaking with love and from thier own personel experience. Where as a licensed therapist or psychiatrist is speaking to you from some stuff that he/she has read in some text books. How can I counsel you on love if I have not been in love? How can I teach you how to build a rocket if I have never built a rocket? I have tried for years, and many different ways to quit drugs. I have quit heroin many times cold turkey. Drugs are not the addicts problem. Our minds are. The way we cope with life/stress, the way we our minds race and spin. The lack of control of our thoughts and behaviors. We used drugs to self-medicate. to numb our minds from our fears, anxietys, anger, pain, depression. I was a skeptic about 12 step programs. Now I think that they should be taught in schools. The 12 step program enables you to let go of the past, not fear the future and teaches us how to live a life with a immeasurable amount of peace and calmness in our minds. Without that peace and stillness in our minds, we will self medicate. I have also had people I know try hypnosis. Did work for a minute. The ONLY way that a 12 step program will work is if you approach it with an open mind, you are honest and willing. H.onest O.penmindedness W.illingness. H.O.W. I was facing 30 felonies, going through a divoricce, lost my job due to leaving state for a treatment center, Lost the respect and trust of my family and friends. Became a liar to hide my problems. But most importantly, I had lied to myself, and I had lost the love and respect of myself. 14 months later, I have all of my family and friends back, they even call me for advice. I have a great job. The best part is, I have peace and stillness in my mind and I now Love and respect myself. So , to answer your questions. From someone who was a skeptic and convinced myself that there was not a God, and hates religion. A.A. is not religious based and it was the only thing that has worked for me and thousands upon thousnds of others. If you have any other questions, feel free to e-mail me. marty_1194@yahoo.com Take Care
