Miraculous Mary
What are the spirtual powers of a Miraculous Medal?
A few years ago my father passed away, but before he died he gave me his Miraculous medal that had a picture of the virgin Mary on it... well today I was untangling it from the cross I wear along with the Miraculous Medal and my friend suddenly says that it is a seriously powerful charm against evil.
He says that it is used to keep demons away and it can spiritual protect it's wearer... I didn't know this, but I'm a little skeptical of his information.
But still I'm really curious now, if his info is wrong just what are the real powers of a Miraculous Medal?
Hi there
I am a Christian (Catholic) and your friend is correct, we believe it to be a very powerful medal that protects you from evil, demons, anyone who is trying to hurt you whether human or inhuman. You dont have to wear it as a necklace if you don't want you can take it off the chain and put a safety pin through the hoop and pin it on your undershirt, or carry it in your wallet.
Please cherish it

Heart Catholic
Thoughts on an Immaculate Heart tattoo on a spiritual albeit non-catholic?
So I am contemplating my next tattoo, a chest piece centered around an Immaculate Heart. I feel conflicted because although I am spiritual and believe in a higher power, I don't ascribe to any one religion. My beliefs are more of a combination of many religions including Catholicism . I really love the image and symbolism but am curious what others think.
Mary loves non-Catholics, too. As long as the image is not disrespectful, I think it's a great idea for a tattoo.

Blessed Vatican
Would it be awesome if Vatican City was in Euro?
Yeah i know their not Fifa recognized, but it would be pretty tight to see them play. I heard their undefeated and their last game they won 5-1. Talk about blessed. I wonder how they would do against all the big teams?
Yeah, the Vatican City football team consists of members of the Swiss Guard (the Pope's bodyguards).
If they were affiliated to FIFA, they would probably be the weakest team in the world. After all, how are we going to make a football team from a country of just a few thousand inhabitants.
Their only international game was against Monaco (which isn't affiliated to FIFA either), and they finished 0-0. The 5-1 victory you mentioned was against Swiss club SV Vollmond.
But they do play in the Clericus Cup, which is a football competition between priests from all over the world!

How do you view humility? How do you put it in practice?
"One goes more quickly to Heaven from a hut than a palace"
St. Francis
"The only way to make rapid progress along the path of divine love is to remain very little and put all our trust in Almighty God."
St. Therese of Lisieux
Humility is obedience.
To obey God in every area of life.
to be lower in mind and heart to even the worms.
St Therese a Holy and wise woman.

Pope Benedict
is there a website where i can see if pope benedict drinks alcohol and if christians drink alcohol?
I have had a major falling out with my dfather, i want to show him the religious people do drink as he says the devil will devour my soul etc. i am not religious nemore but when pope bendeict came to australia, every christian which is almost every one drank?
The Pope and most all Catholics do drink communion wine, which is alcoholic. And I'm pretty sure Jesus's first miracle wasn't turning water into Pepsi. While there are multiple commandments from Paul not to get outright drunk, particularly for elders and deacons, there's nothing in the Bible prohibiting alcohol entirely.
