the candle stick holder has been in my family for generations. I recentley seen one on the history channel on thing they found on a show about pireates.

Christianity is not merely metaphysical (a fairytale). When the vertical overlaps with the horizontal you have a dynamic overlap of physical proof. For instance, a large ship found in the mountains of Ararat (urartu), chariot parts in the Red Sea, a skull face at the city wall with proof of a garden in that area with a first century tomb. With millions of martyrs under it's belt, Christianity stands as no other religion. No other religion except for the Jews commands respect in all areas, archeology, history, physiology, biology, and martyrology.

I suggest that you pray the skeptics prayer just in case you are wrong. If you admit that you are just a mortal and you are not omniscient, and you have humility, then pray that God, if he does exist, give you evidence and understanding and lead you in all truth so that you may be saved, Then wait. And ask according to the Bible says, "and in Jesus name" you make this request. It's the prudent thing to do.

My sister will be getting married next month, and as a gift, I purchased a Unity candle set that includes 2 side tapers. Traditionally how should these be lit. I think my sister is under the impression that the pastor lights one taper, and the remaining taper is lit from the one the pastor lit, and the bride and groom lite the unity candle.

I know this is incorrect.

If I remember correctly from past weddings, the tapers are lit by the mothers of the bride and groom. If that is correct. where do the mothers get their flame from?

I've seen this on a show called "Get Married" they showed some wedding decor ideas where they put a votive candle resting on a sunflower and they also had one resting inside a rose where the petals were all around the candle holder. I can't find any pictures like this anywhere. Please help me if you know where to find it.
