![]() Besides Wat Phra Keaw, Wat Arun and Wat Pho, What are other interesting Wats to Visit in Bangkok Thailand? I know that somewhere there is a Wat with a very large solid Gold Buddha. What other Wats (Temples) would be good to take visitors to see. The Marble Temple is definitely worth a look, it's made almost entirely of Carrera marble. Wat Traimit in Chinatown is famous for the 5.5 ton solid Golden Buddha and a visit there is supposed to bring good luck and good fortune (didn't work for me). Also, Wat Suthat Thepwarararam which is right across from the Giant Swing is I think one of the most beautiful temples inside, with huge murals on the walls and dozens of images of life size monks praying. The Wat ( I don't know the name) between Siam Paragon and Central World Plaza on Rama I Rd. is also worth checking out, it's where members of the Royal Family often go. The Golden Mount Temple is also nice and I believe is the highest point in Bangkok that isn't a hotel or office. I've been to quite a few others and every one of them was worth at least a quick look, chok dee. Buddhism MalaSunday, August 14th, 2011Buddhism Mala

My new bf is on his journey through Buddhism and I thought that Mala Beads might be a nice gift for Valentine's day. Would this be an appropriate gift from me or are these something that would come from another buddhist? dharma teacher? I'm fairly ignorant to the ways of Buddhism.
