Statue Wood
Could you sue a store that sold you a wood statue that has termites living in it?
It was a $12 statue, bu we found a pile of sawdust underneath it and a small dead bug lying in the pile.
Caveat Emptor!
Please do not sue.
Did you attempt to return it? Did you inspect it before purchase? Can you prove the insects did not get in it after your purchase?
We live in such a litigious world. You made a mistake, move on.

Buddha Eyes
What does the Talmud say about why God selected Abraham?
Why did God select Abraham? Why did he not reveal himself to say, Buddha or a Masai warrior? What was it about this obscure man from Ur that made him special in God's eyes? What does Judaism teach?
First off- discard the answers talking about the rebellion of Satan- there is no such belief in Judaism as angels have no free will and cannto rebel.
Now, as to why Abraham was chosen: Its because he went looking. In the Midrash it talks about how Abram (his name was not yet Abraham) searched for G-d. The story goes that first he looked to the sun, but it dissapeared at night- thus he looked to the moon. ut with the day that dissapeared to the power of the sun. He turned to other elements of nature- but mountains could not move and thus could not rule the world, rivers and seas were constrained to their banks and so on. the more he looked the more problems he found with the religions of his day. Thus he realised that above all elements of nature, the stars etc there had to be an overriding force, the supreme power which created everything and was beyond everything. In discvering G-d for himself, G-d chose him.

Amida Buddha

What does: [Namo Amida Buddha] mean?
"I trust in the Buddha of Immeasurable Light" or "Homage to the Buddha of Immeasurable Light".
Pure Land Buddhism offers salvation through grace of an eternal paradise for people who sincerely believe. Does that sound like another religion to you? Maybe one that claims it alone has that kind of offer?

Buddha Buda
How is this Seated Buddha sculpture representative of the culture which created it?
What do you think makes this Chinese interpretation of Buddha different from Big Buddha in Kamakura, Japan, constructed in 1252.
Seated Buddha is found here: http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/buda/ho_43.24.3.htm
With a fast mind, you may realize that there is no buddhism in buddhism. Buddhism means nothing.
We are just a product of culture, and we are not self , but social. We are like a car produced by mechanism and lived following mechanism and configuration.
You must not concentrate too mcuh on these matter of right/wrong, all is just for convenience in determining a goal. You should follow your instinct.

Buddha Wood
if you met someone you thought was god...?
wouldn't you hold on to even the tiniest keepsake as proof that he actually existed, and pass it on it your descendants? i mean really, fundamentalists so often point out this whole missing link issue when confronted with evolution, when there's an entire chain missing in the life of jesus. there is no physical evidence of the life of jesus. some will say, "what about christianity?" and to that i ask, "what about buddhism and greek mythology? did buddha, and thor, and zeus exist just because there were religions based on them?" so is there any physical evidence of the life of jesus, i.e. wood from the cross he was crucified on, maybe a piece of furniture he fashioned, anything that someone would have thought, "hey, this belonged to god!!!"?
emiy, no more irrelevant than any of the other questions asked here...
OMG, Did you talk to Morgan Freeman too?
