Trinket for nine year old girl?
My boyfriend's sister turns 10 soon. For her birthday, I am making her a trinket box (small enough to fit in the palm of your hand). I'd like a little gift to put inside. Any ideas?
It must be tiny, but not jewelry.

What does she specifically like? My daughter likes miniature things, but all kinds. What I was thinking if she liked dogs, for example, get a little porcelain dog. Also some toy stores sell little animals made out of a hard plastic, but they are very detailed and a little pricey. They are from a German company. Again, for example, if she likes dogs you can get a little miniature dog to fit inside. They have all kinds of animals.
My daughter has little miniature collectibles. It is the kind of stuff collectors buy for doll houses. You can everything that we have in our homes, but in a super miniature size. If you have an idea of what she likes, dogs, cats, birds, dolls, babies, etc., you can find something for it in a tiny size.
Actually dollhouse miniatures are not cheap. Sometimes Japanese erasers are really cool. It sounds cheap, but they look like food and they are fun to collect.

They are so cute and little girls just love them.
