Greek Orthodox drinking wine?
Hi everyone, I'm a Romanian Orthodox and today I went to church to get blessed since it is our Easter this Sunday, we did a prayer, got blessed by the priest and had to go in line with many other people to have a sip of red wine and eat a little piece of bread afterwards, everyone used the same spoon, it was silver, i was told..
are there any diseases i can get from this?
What you are doing is called Holy Communion which is Blessed by God. Im Greek Orthodox and have been Receiving Holy Communion for 46 Years almost every week and have never gotten sick. You need to have a little more Faith and Trust in God to keep you safe especially when taking Communion which is the Blood and Body of our Lord Jesus Christ.
