Where are the fully enlightened Buddhas?
Well shouldn't there have been atleast one fully enlightened Buddha since Shakyamuni Buddha? Weren't his teachings meant to reach one to enlightenment? Yet there hasn't been one fully enlightened Buddha since Shakyamuni Buddha 2500 years ago. The next Buddha is supposed to be Maitreya, but that is like already saying who the Buddha is going to be and it's not going to be you. Or is it just a name for who the next Buddha will be, whoever it may be? It is said he is currently in a heaven sort of place teaching other gods, so that means there will be no other being that is a sentient being that will be Buddha ? Just a thought that's all.

There are none. All fully enlightened Buddhas, like Christ have obtained Nirvana or heaven. You never obtain perfection, you only strive to be perfect by perfect thoughts, perfect speech, and perfect action.
