Can someone help me, what does this mean, on my Crucifix/Cross?
My friend made a cross for me, and it says IC, XC on it, what do these standfor/mean? The cross looks like this:

Go to Yahoo Search and type in "Russian Orthodox Church 990" and Search.
The Church began in 990 A.D.
IC stands for 99 (= 100 - 1). -- Think of Roman numerals.
XC stands for 90 (= 100 - 10).
Maybe, they meant to put IX on the left instead of IC as that would
give a 9 on the left and a 90 on the right and look like 990.
