Do you believe christian women should wear pants and preach in a church?
In the bible it says in 1st Timothy chapter 2 verse 8 thorugh 15
"I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting in like manner also that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or have an authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holyness, with self-control.
By this verse I believe that woman should not be allowed to wear pants in church or be allowed to preach anymore. But, what do you think?
I think that its okay for women to be preachers: there are prophetess in the Bible. The first one was Miriam, the Deborah, and then Anna
in the Old Testament Joel 2:28 says: And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
in The New Testament Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Women should not wear pants and the verse I'm gonna quote and I know I will get thumbs down for this says:
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 22:5
Many will argue this fact: They make pants for women too. But the fact remains, they were made for the man!
Modest apparel is godly dress, hiding the nakedness (Breast, thighs, and other like areas)
gold or pearls are jewelry Isa.3:18
costly apparel is very expensive flashy clothes
you can TRY to argue with the Bible all you want, but what the Bible says is right it is right, what it says is wrong it is wrong. It doesn't matter how we try to change the Bible-on judgment day-we will know what it totally means
