Christians do the lost have to ask Jesus into their heart to be saved?
Something that has bothered me is some of the terms Christians mean when sharing the Gospel. Why do so many uses phrases like:
Ask Jesus into your heart?
Invite Jesus into your life?
Make Jesus your Lord and Savior?
Give up all your sins and turn to Christ?
If anyone has solid Biblical support for any of these I'll gladly listen.
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine *heart* that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
that covers "confessing" or Invite Jesus into your life.
"believing in your heart" or Ask Jesus into your heart.
Give up all your sins and turn to Christ; & Make Jesus your Lord and Savior =
Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
