Faceted Glass Jewel?
I'm looking for a glass jewel that looks like a crystal clear dark green emerald. I had a jewel like this as a kid and want to find one. Any ideas? Craft supplies perhaps?
Here's a picture of what I want. Faceted, rectangle cut, flat on one side, comes to a point on the other. I want it dark green and made of glass (can't afford a real gem

You might check out an art and craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michaels, and in the beading section, there are Swarovski crystal beads that come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They have a few different greens, like emerald and citrine. If you don't find the exact piece you're looking for, you might see some glass examples that are interesting to you. Also, a wonderful online source for many different bead types is Fire Mountain Gems.
If you still don't find anything to your liking, you could check out lampworked glass items. Some of the beads created with this method are striking, and you could probably find someone to create a piece for you, or you could take this up as a hobby. You could also check into fused glass - another fun hobby. You can find a lot of supplies for both lampworking and fusing at DelphiGlass.
