What can I use to prevent eye pins from falling out of polymer clay?
I am making some polymer clay charms and have given them to friends I was told that the eye pins came out of the charms. I baked the eye pin into the charm with liquid sculpey & it still fell out, can anyone give me any tips?
I thought about bending the tip but thought the hole would be bigger but now that you mention it I could try slightly bending the middle, thanks!
I had luck poking my hole before I baked it ... making it just a tiny bit bigger to allow for shrinkage and then adhering the pin, after baking , by sticking the pin in a good glue ... E 6000 is one kind that worked and Goop another. then sticking it in the hole after it had been baked along with the glue.:) I also had luck bending the pin like a hook and adhering it with more clay after the piece was first baked and smoothing a small amount over the hook shaped pin. This worked great on earrings and things that were flat backed:)
