What is the religious and mythical symbolism for grapes?

I bought an antique silver ring, and in it is this intriguing imprint of some grapes and a thin, wavy vine. It's very pretty. It's pretty old, so I was curious, what are the symbolic meanings both religiously and in mythology, for grapes? Sources or websites would be nice, thanks!

Maybe the Greek God of wine Dionysus? Grapes would be one of his symbols.
