Can I legally store my handgun in a bank safe deposit box?
I'm in CT, have a carry permit and a federal class III FFI license. Can I legally store my collectable (relic) handguns in a bank safe deposit box? They are not CT "antiques"; they would not be on my premises, but would be in my bound book. The bank has no problem with the concept. The guns would be in boxes or soft cases and of course unloaded and locked. Please no obvious references to the state or federal websites - I've looked at those already.
If the bank allows it, then you can go ahead. If I remember correctly, it is bank policy that chooses if they accept the storage of weapons. If you can store the gun at your house legally, then you should be able to do the same with a paid bank deposit box.
