Why is it that those who ridicule the bible...usually end up admiring divination,astrology etc?
This does not apply to all but.................
I observe a strange link between criticsim and redicule of the bible as a fictitious,imaginary piece of work according to most critics( a book of magic stories,prophecies,angels and other enigmas) yet a concomitant fascination with divination,astrology,enochianism,feng shui,ESP,SHC,out of body experiences,aliens and lots of other paranormal phenomena by most if not the very same critics
How is that different really?
What is it that the bible lacks on one hand that the other aforementioned 'disciplines' have?
Limit the push and pull factors to the scope of the 'disciplines' for a better and more comprehensive explanation
The Bible has become a tool of dogmatism and unquestionable truth - one can hardly go beyond what is written in it and thus it imprisons one's life within certain limits.
The alternative thoughts and religions grant more importance to individuality and have much more to discover, new frontiers and new ways of thinking.
I've always believe that simple people require the faerie tales and rules of the Bible, people who are searching for more can't find all the answers they seek in a "holy" book (considering that it was written by human beings I very much doubt it can be labelled "holy".
